AI chat math in Word and PowerPoint, as real equations
TeXbridge is a browser extension for Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It copies formulas from ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and 80+ other AI chats into Microsoft Word as native, editable equations, exports whole chats to Word (.docx) and formulas to PowerPoint (.pptx), and copies sharp formula images for Google Docs and Slides.

To get help faster, please include
- The AI chat site you were using (for example ChatGPT or Gemini).
- Your browser (Chrome or Edge) and your Word version (Windows, Mac or Microsoft 365 online).
- For formulas that don't come out right: open the TeXbridge popup → Export to Word or PowerPoint → Copy diagnostics, and paste the result into your email. It describes how the page draws its formulas and contains no chat text.
- For billing questions: the email address you used to pay.
Frequently asked questions
How do I copy formulas into Word?
- One formula: hover over it and click Copy for Word, then paste into Word with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac).
- A passage: select text in an answer and press Ctrl+C. Text, lists, tables and every formula paste into Word together.
- A whole chat: hover the blue WΣ button at the bottom right of the page and choose Export to Word (.docx).
Need the LaTeX source instead? Click Copy LaTeX on any formula. For Google Docs and Google Slides, click Copy for Google.
I use Word on the web (Microsoft 365 in a browser)
Word on the web can't paste equations directly (from any app), so use its equation box:
- In your AI chat, hover the formula and click Copy for Word.
- In Word on the web, choose Insert → Equation.
- Paste with Ctrl+V into the box at the top of the Equation Tools panel, press Space, then click Insert on page.
Word on the web's equation box can't build matrices, cases (a big curly brace with options) or multi-line formulas. For those, and for a whole chat, use Export to Word (.docx) and open the file in Word on the web: every formula is already a real, editable equation. In the Word desktop app, a normal Ctrl+V works.
Does it work with Google Docs and Google Slides?
Yes, as pictures. Google Slides has no equations at all, and Google Docs can't receive its equations from other apps, so TeXbridge copies a sharp, high-resolution picture of the formula:
- Hover the formula and click Copy for Google.
- In Google Docs or Google Slides, press Ctrl+V. Drag a corner to resize it; it stays crisp.
The picture's alt text holds the formula's LaTeX, so you can always get the source back. Copy for Google also works in other apps that accept pictures (Notion, chat apps…). Pasted into Word or Outlook it becomes a real, editable equation instead. It counts as one conversion on the free plan.
Does it work with LibreOffice?
Yes, two ways:
- Quick: hover the formula, click Copy for Google and paste into LibreOffice Writer or Impress. You get a sharp picture of the formula. (The thin grey box you may see around it is LibreOffice's on-screen Text Boundaries guide; turn it off under View → Text Boundaries. It never prints.)
- Editable: use Export to Word (.docx) and open the file in LibreOffice Writer. LibreOffice turns every equation into its own editable formula.
Can I put formulas into PowerPoint?
Yes. PowerPoint can't paste equations straight from a browser (no extension can do that), so TeXbridge makes you a PowerPoint file instead:
- Hover the W∑ button on the chat page (or open the TeXbridge popup) and choose Export formulas to PowerPoint (.pptx). Select part of the chat first to export only its formulas.
- Open the file: every formula is on its own slide as a real, editable PowerPoint equation, with the sentence it came from above it.
- Use the slides as they are, or copy an equation (or a whole slide) into your own presentation.
Another way: paste the formula into Word with Copy for Word, then copy the equation from Word into PowerPoint. A PowerPoint export counts as one export on the free plan.
Which sites does it work on?
ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Studio, NotebookLM, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI, Qwen, Kimi, Mistral, Poe, HuggingChat, You.com, Phind, Duck.ai, Doubao, Ernie Bot and many more (80+ in total). For any other site, open the TeXbridge popup and click Turn on for this site, or tick Work on every website.
Brave's built-in Leo assistant can't be supported, because browsers don't let any extension run inside their own internal pages.
A formula pasted as plain text or symbols instead of an equation
- Paste with a normal Ctrl+V, not “Paste as plain text” or “Keep text only”.
- On Word for Mac or LibreOffice, open the popup and set Formulas in copied selections to MathML.
- Reload the chat page after installing or updating TeXbridge.
- As an alternative, Export to Word (.docx) always writes real equations into the file.
- Still wrong? Send us the Copy diagnostics output (see Support). Sites change their layout from time to time, and this lets us fix it quickly.
What does the free plan include?
Every day: 5 conversions (Copy for Word or Copy for Google) and 1 export to Word or PowerPoint. Copy LaTeX is unlimited. The count resets at midnight in your time zone. New installs also get 3 days of Pro for free, with no sign-up. See Plans.
What counts as one conversion?
One action counts once, however many formulas it contains: one Ctrl+C of a passage, one Copy for Word or Copy for Google click, or one Copy for Word from the WΣ menu. Copy LaTeX never counts.
How do I upgrade to Pro?
Open the TeXbridge popup and click Upgrade to Pro. Payment is handled securely by Stripe through ExtensionPay. Pro unlocks as soon as the payment goes through.
I paid, but TeXbridge still shows the free plan
- Close and reopen the TeXbridge popup; it checks your plan each time it opens.
- On another computer, browser or Chrome profile, or after reinstalling, click Already have Pro? Log in in the popup and enter the email address you paid with. You'll get a login link by email.
- Still not working? Email us with the address you paid with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the TeXbridge popup and click Manage subscription, then cancel. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and then continue on the free plan. Uninstalling the extension does not cancel the subscription.
Is my chat sent anywhere?
No. All reading and converting of formulas happens inside your browser. Your chats and formulas are never sent to us or to anyone else. See the Privacy policy.

Privacy policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This policy explains what the TeXbridge browser extension (“TeXbridge”, “we”) does with your information. In short: your chats and formulas never leave your browser, we don't sell or share data, and we don't use analytics or ads.
1. Web page content
To convert formulas, TeXbridge reads the content of the pages where it runs (the supported AI chat sites, and any other site you turn it on for). This happens only on your device: the text and formulas are converted inside your browser and placed on your clipboard or into a Word file that is saved on your computer. This content is never sent to us or to any third party.
2. Information stored in your browser
| What | Why | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Your settings (for example the copy format) | To remember your choices | Chrome sync storage |
| The date TeXbridge was first installed | To run the 3-day Pro trial | Chrome sync storage |
| Today's count of conversions and exports | To apply the free plan's daily limits | Chrome sync storage |
| Your current plan (free, trial or Pro) | To unlock features without asking the server each time | Local browser storage |
| A random license key | To link your browser to your subscription | Chrome sync storage |
If you use Chrome sync, Google syncs the “sync storage” items between your own browsers under your Google account. This data contains no chat content.
3. Payments and your account (ExtensionPay and Stripe)
Subscriptions are handled by ExtensionPay, which processes payments with Stripe.
- Until you click Upgrade to Pro or Log in, TeXbridge makes no network requests.
- When you do, a random license key is created for your browser, and TeXbridge then checks your plan with ExtensionPay (when you open the popup, and about every 6 hours). This check sends only the random key.
- When you pay or log in, you give your email address to ExtensionPay. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure pages and are never seen or stored by TeXbridge or by us.
- We can see your email address, your plan and your payment history in order to provide the service, answer support requests and process refunds.
ExtensionPay and Stripe process this information under their own privacy policies: ExtensionPay, Stripe privacy.
4. What we don't do
- We don't collect your chats, prompts, answers, formulas or browsing history.
- We don't use analytics, tracking, advertising or cookies.
- We don't sell, rent or share your information, and we don't use it for anything other than providing TeXbridge and its subscription.
The use of information received from Google APIs and the Chrome extension platform adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Keeping and deleting your information
- Uninstalling TeXbridge removes its local data. To also clear the synced items, uninstall it in each browser, or clear your Chrome sync data.
- To delete your account information (email and plan) held by ExtensionPay, email us and we'll delete it. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as financial laws require.
- You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, or to correct it.
6. Children
TeXbridge is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Subscriptions are intended for users who are old enough to make purchases, or who have a parent's or guardian's permission.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the extension's store listing.
